Yoga! Yes I know you are a terribly busy person, and this is a new year/decade/era to dominate, but hear me out. Yoga is practice (you don’t have to be a yoga master) specifically designed to join together and realign the mind, body and soul. Incorporating breathing exercises, meditation and a variety of poses to encourage connection, yoga is basically the answer to the stresses of today. With so many mental and physical benefits, why is yoga put so often as a last resort? Let’s get real, we made it through the 2010’s, and yet so many out there feel more stuck than ever.
The ups, downs, and seemingly diagonals allow the slight mention of the word “focus” to send us down a rabbit hole! Humanity has never been in a place more supportive of living your purpose than it is now. The existential angst felt across at least two generations is astounding, as we seem to be crippled by opportunity:
- Where do I start?
- What do I want to do with my life?
- How do I know what my purpose is?
- What will I miss if I do this instead of that?
- What will my family think?
The list goes on… But how do we answer all of these questions, and get to focused, purposeful action. And what place is a boutique luxury hotel in to answer these questions?
At The William, we pride ourselves in creating a place to truly rest the mind, body and soul from the stresses of life. We like to think of staying with us like being able to hit a reset button. Our choices for our guest experiences must correlate to helping our them feel more alive. We have a no knock policy, for instance in order to allow anonymity, as well as privacy. Towels, necessities, and room changes are by request only. We choose bedding according to three different standards to assure the best in quality sleep.
And now, for 2020, we are offering YOGA for the first 32 guests who request it! Each guest receives a Free Yoga Class at Boerne Yoga! The mission of the studio is so aligned with the mission of our hotel, we couldn’t resist!
“Your body is the home of your soul.” ~ John O’Donohue
When we allow ourselves to take that first deep breath, we enter an arena to remember why we are here, as it is different for each person. We get the chance to reconnect past the tiny stresses we put urgently in front of what we know to be more important but might not have time for.
The opportunity is here through The William to reconnect, reset, and most importantly remember there is no “New You!” There is only the you that has been forgotten, the brilliant, on purpose being you were meant to be. Happy New Year from all of us at The William!
